What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have experience cat sitting my entire life (30years). Usually it’s by word of mouth. I’ve cat sat for friends, family, and neighbors and experience includes general check in’s, feeding and litterbox cleaning, bottle feeding kittens and assisting them to relieve themselves (VERY YOUNG), medication administration by pill, powder, insulin shots, or ear drops, I clip cat’s nails, can administer ointment or tick/flea prevention, and love playing with cats, meowing with them, and cuddling (if they allow it).

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy cat sitting because I get to meet adorable kitties in the area, show them love, and additionally I get to offer clients one less thing to worry about when they’re gone for a work trip, vacation, or other. Life is already SO STRESSFUL, and I know what it’s like to feel guilty leaving my cats (Jack & Juniper) behind while I travel because they are deeply attached to me and me alone. Knowing that your cats are safe and happy is a beautiful thing, and I love providing that stress relief to others as they have done for me.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Transparency is the best policy in my opinion. I communicate with the client to let them know exactly when I’m headed to the house, when I arrive/get physically inside the home, and immediately let the client know their cat is safe and sound. If permitted, I will send photos/videos of the fur baby as documented proof as well as to calm the owner’s nerves. I stay for as long as is agreed upon, and notify the owner when I leave and lock the door. I do not go into any private rooms or open any doors other than for the food, meds, toys, litterbox/bathroom/cleaning supplies as needed. Generally, it’s nice to have these items in the open in the kitchen so I don’t have to go searching, but everyone is different. I’m happy to include additional safety & security measures in case by case basis.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
