What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been a professional cat sitter for 5+ years and a Veterinary technician for over 12 years. I’m fully insured for pet sitting.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy getting to know each cat’s personality. They're pretty easy to read and always let me know what they want whether it be pets, cuddles or if they just prefer to lurk close by.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

One of my favorite cat sitting reservations was for a family with three cats, and each one had totally different quirks, routines, and feeding instructions. I could tell their parents were super anxious about leaving them. Every time I got through the feeding and care smoothly, I left feeling accomplished. Knowing I could give them peace of mind meant a lot to me.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them their space and let them observe me while I clean their litter and refill their food. I let them make the first move unless important meds are involved.

Lizzie did an excellent job with taking care of my cats for two weeks while I was away on vacation. I especially appreciated how quickly Lizzie was able to adjust to unexpected changes to my cats' feeding routines, as well as how she was able to make some good adjustments when the cats weren't responding well initially to new food. In addition, she provided meaningful updates to me on a daily basis; finally, my cats are quite shy, and one of them came out almost daily with her. I hope that she will take care of them again on my next trip. Thank you Lizzie!!

Elizabeth is an ace and gets my repeat business! I have no complaints at all with her nor Meowtel. I have 2 senior cats one of which requires a shot 2X a day (My cat takes an Insulin shot) and Elizabeth handles that just fine, as does the cat! 🐈 Recommend!!!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
