When it comes to caring for your cat, I’m all in. Playtime? I’ll put on a full ribbon-dance performance with their favorite feather wand. Litter? Scooped during each visit, and the surrounding area tidied up for good measure... Hey friends! I’ve been a full-time pet care provider for over three years and kitties are my specialty! My husband Alan and I have two of our own—Smokey and Bandit—and they’ve been part of our family for nearly 11 years. My love for kitties started way back, growing up on a farm with plenty of barn cats. They were my favorite sidekicks, and as a little girl, I was almost always rocking a half-zipped jacket with a kitten head popping out.
When it comes to caring for your cat, I’m all in. Playtime? I’ll put on a full ribbon-dance performance with their favorite feather wand. Litter? Scooped during each visit, and the surrounding area tidied up for good measure. Food and water? Fresh, refilled, and served just the way your king or queen prefers— just be sure leave me the details for any special “presentations.”
My goal is to be your kitty’s new BFF in no time! That said, I totally understand that some cats prefer a slower approach. If your fur baby is shy, timid, or not a fan of strangers, I’m more than happy to keep things calm, give them plenty of space, and focus on the essentials. Their comfort always comes first, and I take extra care not to cause any stress.
I have experience administering oral medications and injections (we have a diabetic kitty of our own that requires insulin shots twice daily), and I am pet CPR certified with additional first-aid training. Fully insured for your peace of mind 🐾

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is the opportunity to build trust and form a bond with each cat on their own terms. Every cat has a unique personality, and I find it deeply rewarding to earn their comfort and affection, especially when they start off shy or reserved. I also enjoy maintaining their routines and creating a calm, secure environment while their humans are away. It’s fulfilling to know that I’m helping both the pet and the owner feel at ease during that time.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I’m available most holidays. If there happens to be a timeframe that I won’t be available, I will be sure to communicate that to regular clients well ahead of time.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When caring for timid or reserved cats, I take a calm, patient, and respectful approach. I give them plenty of space and let them initiate contact when they feel ready. I avoid sudden movements or loud noises and use a soft, reassuring voice to help create a sense of safety. I often sit quietly at their level and allow them to observe or sniff me without pressure. I also use treats, toys, and their regular routine to build positive associations over time. Most importantly, I let the cat set the pace, understanding that trust is something that has to be earned gradually.

This was my first time needing a sitter and I was worried that my boy was going to be super skittish since he hadn't met anyone new in a long time, but he ended up warming up to Jordyn super quickly! I'm sooooo happy I ended up going with her. She was super friendly and professional, and she sent me lots of pics of their time together. Plus, I was super grateful that she was more than happy to watch him for another day when my vacation got extended for an extra day at the last minute. I felt very safe and secure handing over my keys, and she made it so I was able to enjoy my entire vacation in peace, knowing my baby was well cared for. I'll definitely be contacting Jordyn again for any sitting needs!

Jordyn is THE BEST! I got my cat 4 months ago and this was my first time leaving her alone for a trip and I was so anxious. Jordyn responded so quickly and was able to watch her and scheduled a meet and greet so fast. She was so kind and I immediately felt at ease leaving my baby with her. Her communication throughout the trip was phenomenal and she constantly sent updates, pictures, and videos. My cat is very timid and she ended up LOVING Jordyn at the end. Genuinely the best cat sitter you could get. I am 1000% booking her in the future!!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Leander cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
