What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have cared for cats for over 20 years. Mostly this has been for friends and family when they traveled or had a heavy work schedule and needed food or medication delivered at a certain time of day. It has been a joyful and interesting experience each time, since each cat has its own needs, preferences and patterns. I am in awe of animals and if they ate willing, I enjoy playing with them petting them. I go by their cues, making sure to gove them respect at all times.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I currentyhave two, named Roscoe and Rosie. They are 9 years old and were litter mates. They are sweet, healthy and great companions. They are different from the 3 other cats I have had but all my cats have been well-socialized and very fun to be with.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Look for a person you connect with and that has a love and respect for animals, cats especially. Provide good notes on your cat’s preferences and schedule and ask for a thorough recap after each visit. Make sure you are available to answer questions if your cat has a health need tgat is urgent. Use the same sitter once you find one you like to eliminate stress for your cat. Getting to know one sitter is easier than several.

    Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

    Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

    Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

    No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
