Beyond caring for my own cats, I’ve been pet sitting professionally for years through my independent business, providing reliable, in-home care built on consistency, communication, and genuine connection. While I’m new to Meowtel, I’m not new to caring for animals... Hi, I’m Zachary, and cats have been part of my everyday life for years. I currently share my home with three kitties: Katniss, Peeta, and Leo. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, applying topical treatments, and following detailed feeding or care instructions. I double-check doors, maintain a tidy space, and provide thoughtful updates so you feel confident while you’re away.

Yes, I share my home with three cats: Katniss, Peeta, and Leo. Living with three very different personalities has given me a deep appreciation for how unique each cat truly is. Some cats crave space, some want connection on their own terms, and some fall somewhere in between. Being a cat parent myself has taught me the importance of routine, patience, and quiet observation. I care for clients’ cats the same way I care for my own, with respect for their comfort, boundaries, and individual needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Whenever possible, I begin with a meet and greet so I can learn your cat’s routine, personality, and preferences directly from you. Understanding their normal habits helps keep visits low stress and familiar while you’re away. During visits, I follow your instructions closely and take the time needed so nothing feels rushed. Shy cats are never pressured into interaction, and social cats receive attention and enrichment based on what they enjoy. You’ll receive thoughtful updates after each visit so you know your cat is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety and security are always top priorities. I am attentive to doors, windows, and any potential escape risks, especially with curious or anxious cats. I double-check entry points, monitor litter box habits, food intake, and overall behavior, and notify you promptly if anything seems out of the ordinary. I treat every home with care and respect, following any security instructions you provide and maintaining privacy at all times. Because I never rush visits, I am able to stay fully attentive to both your cat’s well-being and the condition of your home.

Zachary was absolutely perfect. I cannot imagine a better service being provided, with wonderful care and attention paid to our 9 month old cat. We were concerned about going away for a week, but Zachary was able to visit and play with her and treated her like his own. We got pictures of her personality and every time she seemed like she was having a blast. I cannot recommend his services highly enough, he was a wonderful attentive sitter for our cat.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Plano cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
