I'm Ali
Cat Sitting in Ogden, UT
Im pretty easy going an... Hey there! Im Ali, im 26 working in the medical field and looking to make a little extra money helping out with some furry friends. I adore cats, I have two of my own and tend to make a few friends around wherever im living as well 😅 i love cultivating a relationship with a cat, it’s beautiful to watch their personalities unfold and plus we all know cats live by their own rules so when they choose to open up and be friends with you it really is a treat.
Im pretty easy going and tend to go with the flow of whatever the cats vibe is. I’ll always fill the bowls and scoop the poopies but whether a cat wants some cuddles, a little bit of play time, some cat tv or just a meal delivery I’m all for it. I find letting the cat set the tone for the visit is usually the best. I usually carry some treats to help out with introducions as well.
I usually have time to stop by in the evening around 5 pm once I get off work though on weekends im much more flexible.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes I do! Their names are Phoebe and Cinnamon Bun. I named them after characters from my favorite animated TV show, Adventure Time ⚔️
Are you usually available during holidays?
Absolutely. I will still be in the Ogden area working my regular job in a medical clinic so my availability will continue largely as normal through the holidays.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I just give them time and space and a little bit of treats or cat nip (if it’s okay with kitties parent, of course). Usually in my experience the worst thing you can do for a timid or anxious cat is try to force them to interact with you. My own kitty, Phoebe is a timid/ anxious girl with an autoimmune disorder thst causes her to feel sorta anxious, cold and achy all the time, so for her it’s imperative that she gets to approach new people on her own time on her own terms. If the first few visits involve just scooping boxes, filling food and water bowls and sitting on the ground in a central area so the cat can approach me when they choose then thats what we’ll do ♥️

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Ogden cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
