Over the years, Iāve cared for kittens, seniors, shy cats, special-needs cats, and multi-cat households. Iāve also fostered everything from newborn kittens and their moms to adult cats, and I have experience giving oral medications, liquid medications, eye drops, and injections when needed... Hi! Iām Nicole, and cats have been a part of my life since the day I was born. I grew up in a family of cat lovers and have never known life without them. At one point we even had 14 cats, so caring for multiple feline personalities has always been second nature to me!
Over the years, Iāve cared for kittens, seniors, shy cats, special-needs cats, and multi-cat households. Iāve also fostered everything from newborn kittens and their moms to adult cats, and I have experience giving oral medications, liquid medications, eye drops, and injections when needed.
Every cat is unique, and I believe they deserve care thatās tailored to their personality. Whether your cat wants to spend the visit chasing toys, being brushed, curling up for cuddles, or simply having someone quietly keep them company, Iāll meet them where theyāre most comfortable. Iāll make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, treats (if allowed!), and plenty of love and attention. Iāll also send photo updates so you can relax knowing your cat is safe, happy, and well cared for.
While Iām taking a break from fostering, I still wanted a way to spend time caring for cats, which is what brought me to Meowtel. I truly love getting to know each catās unique personality, and I treat every cat as if they were my own. I canāt wait to meet your furry family member!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite part of cat sitting is getting to know each catās unique personality. No two cats are alike, and I love figuring out what makes each one feel happy and comfortable. Whether itās earning the trust of a shy cat, playing with an energetic kitten, or spending quiet time with a senior cat, those little moments are what make every visit special. Knowing I can help cats stay comfortable in their own home while giving their owners peace of mind is incredibly rewarding.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for someone who understands that every cat is different. A great sitter doesnāt expect every cat to be social or affectionate. They pay attention to routines, respect boundaries, notice changes in behavior, and communicate well with you while youāre away. Feeling confident that your cat is receiving personalized care can make all the difference while youāre away.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always let the cat set the pace. Some cats are ready to make a new friend right away, while others need time to feel comfortable. I never force interactions. Instead, I speak softly, move calmly, and let them approach me when theyāre ready. My goal is to create a stress-free experience by respecting each catās boundaries while making sure they receive all the care, attention, and comfort they need. Thereās nothing more rewarding than earning the trust of a shy kitty.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
