What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have experience caring for cats with a variety of personalities and needs, including playful kittens, shy cats, independent cats, and senior cats who need extra patience and attention. Over the years, I’ve helped friends, neighbors, and local families with feeding, litter box care, playtime, companionship visits, and maintaining consistent routines while they were away. I understand that every cat is different, and I take the time to make them feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I’m attentive to details, respectful of routines, and committed to making sure pets are well cared for and stress-free while their owners are gone. I’m also comfortable providing daily updates, photos, administering basic medications if needed, and giving plenty of affection and attention based on each cat’s comfort level and personality.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I’m also a devoted cat owner myself and understand firsthand how much pets truly become family. I currently have three cats — Nanny, who is 4 years old, and Tux and Millie, who are both 19 years old. Caring for senior cats has given me experience with patience, consistency, gentle care, and paying close attention to their comfort and needs. My cats are a huge part of my life, and I care for them like they are my own children. Because of that, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets while you’re away. I treat every cat with love, kindness, patience, and the same level of care I would want for my own furry family members.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When working with a new cat parent, I like to start by getting to know both you and your cat’s unique personality, routine, and needs. I understand that every cat is different, and keeping them comfortable and stress-free is always my priority. Before the first visit, I like to discuss feeding schedules, favorite toys, litter box routines, medications (if needed), hiding spots, behavior preferences, and any special instructions for your home or pet care. I also want to know what helps your cat feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. During visits, I make sure your cat receives attentive care, companionship, fresh food and water, litter box cleaning, playtime or quiet company depending on their personality, and lots of patience and affection.
