What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have over 20 years of experience caring for cats and have worked with felines of all ages, personalities, and care needs. My experience includes fostering cats and kittens, caring for senior cats, administering oral and topical medications, and working with shy, fearful, feral, and community cats. I understand feline body language and believe in allowing each cat to interact at their own comfort level, creating a calm and low stress environment.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I do have kitties myself! Their names are Cambria, Layne, Sabbath, Meatloaf and Meeko. Most of them are named after bands, but Meeko is named after a racoon because he loves climbing trees on his walks, and Meatloaf is actually named after the food.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Your cat's safety and your home's security are my highest priorities during every visit. I always double check that all doors, windows, and gates are securely closed while im there and before leaving, and I remain extra cautious of potential escape opportunities, especially with curious or nervous cats. I take care to follow your household routines and instructions exactly as provided. During each visit, I'll monitor your cat for any changes in behavior, appetite, litter box habits, or overall well being and will notify you immediately if I notice anything concerning. I also ensure fresh food and water are provided, litter boxes are kept clean, and your cat has a safe, comfortable environment. Before I leave, I make sure your home is secure, lights or blinds are left according to your preferences, and I provide detailed updates with photos so you can have peace of mind knowing everything is going smoothly!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
