I have been a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and have lived in New Zealand, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. I also travel internationally several times a year with Operation Smile as part of a surgical team performing cleft lip and palate repairs. Travel is truly my passion—but so is caring for pets.
Sadly, I recently lost my two “fluff balls.” My orange Maine Coon was diabetic for 12 of his 20 years, and my very “human” Ragdoll lived to 18. I’ve cared for many friends’ and family members’ pets over the years—both cats and dogs—and I’m confident with pets of all ages. Administering medications is never an issue... Hi there! I’m more than happy to go the extra mile—bringing in mail, watering plants, being there for food deliveries, and caring for bird feeders (especially hummingbirds—I adore those little things!). Just let me know what you need.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve had cats all my life, and often sit for several friends and family members when they travel. This year I have also joined an international sitting site and am loving it.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I miss my two cats terribly. I love getting ‘furball time’ again while sitting, lap time is my favorite! I appreciate they are able to stay happily in their own space instead of being taken to a boarding facility.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
Gosh, they’ve all been good. I recently did a sit in Pennsylvania with a 13 yr old 7 lb orange female tabby. She was tiny but quite the lil queen and followed me everywhere. The second I sat on the couch she jumped on my lap and her purring was SO loud. We had 10 days together and I miss her terribly :)

Diana was absolutely wonderful with Jello and Sophie. Jello had the best time playing hide and seek with her. Even more impressive, Sophie who is usually very jumpy and cautious was completely at ease around Diana, which really speaks to Diana’s calm and caring presence. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our cats were in such good hands.

Diana cared for our three male cats, ranging in ages from 6 to 23, for six days. the meet and greet was a pleasure, and it put us at ease to know she’d be caring for our cats. she communicated with us as needed and we enjoyed receiving daily photos of our boys. she followed our cats’ needs exactly as prescribed, and we returned to them as happy as ever. although we of course missed our cats while away, knowing they were in such caring and attentive hands was such a relief. We would definitely use her services again, highly recommended!

Diana is incredibly attentive to my two cats. One of my cats who is friendly but not outwardly so has started to meet Diana at the door. Without even asking, Diana saw that it was trash night and she put the bins out and brought them back in. I recommend selecting and having Diana as your cat sitter.

Diana is a wonderful sitter, she is incredibly conscientious and took exclent care of our two cats. She updated us daily while we were traveling, and it was comforting to know they were so well cared for. She made sure they had plenty of company and although they did not require medication, she made sure they ate their prescription food. We will happily hire her again anytime we travel!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Ashburn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Diana is an animal lover through and through. As long as I’ve known her, she has had her own cats and/or volunteered or fostered cats. She has cared for my cat many times.
