What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

While living with my roommates cats for the last 2 years, I gained lots of experience with taking care of their cats when they would be away from home. I’ve watched over both cats individually, both at the same time, sometimes for just a weekend, or most recently for almost 3 months while my roommate was away for work. I’ve also had new experience with a few Meowtel clients!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a cat named Pepper, and she’s a tuxedo cat that’s about a year and a half old. She is the sweetest and loves to chat, play with string, and get a good chin rub. She is a big fan of watching TV and the birdfeeder outside!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I always take my time with timid and anxious cats, and I let them come to me first. I also go in with the mindset that they won’t necessarily warm up to me immediately, so I don’t put those expectations on the cat or try to speed up the process in order to put them at ease. Letting them know I am trustworthy is very important, so I let them smell me before approaching them, I offer them treats or toys, and I let them initiate any petting/wait for them to give me the “green light”.

Emma was fantastic! She was a really great communicator the entire time. I love that she took pictures and gave me daily updates on how the cats were doing. She also seemed genuinely enjoy spending time with the cats which I appreciated. She is an easy recommendation if you need a cat sitter!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
