It was such a pleasure working with Emily. From the meet and greet I could tell she loves kitties and taking care of them. During her visits she followed up with pictures and everything my kitty was doing like playtime, eating and hanging out. My kitty liked having her around, she was very patient and kind with him. Emily is probably the only reason I felt confident enough to book international travel, taking me away from my cat for the longest we’ve ever been apart. Emily for this long stay, as with our other shorter stays with Emily, is amazingly detailed in taking care of your cat. if you mention something to Emily during your meet and greet she will 100% remember it and note it each and everytime. (for example, I got new litter and it is the type that tells you about the health of your cat, Emily kept me up to date about if my cat was using it, health readings, and his preferences for litter boxes). Emily also makes suggestions based on her professional cat experience. She can suggest new ways to play with the cat to keep them entertained or different stimuli for the cat while you’re away (like TV on during the day but off at night). Emily is respectful of your home and most importantly your cat. She is total professional and I fear the day she is booked months in advance because she’s that good.

Emily was well loved and trusted by my cat and that’s the greatest outcome and relief of the entire trip! but for more details: Emily was helpful at the meet & greet. She was flexible with my schedule, asked good questions, she was respectful of our home and house rules, and was kind and patient with my cat Henry. During our trip Emily was extremely responsive, punctual, and most importantly like a cat-whisperer throughout my entire time with Meowtel. My cat hasn’t met a lot of new people and especially isn’t used to strangers in the home without me there but by the 2nd or 3rd day he was running to the door to greet Emily just as he would run to greet me! Emily gave great, quick updates on each stay. (What she saw, what she did, any particulars or one offs that occurred, and adorable pictures!) As an aside, Emily was also great with me being the nervous cat parent that I was. I was so anxious and sad about traveling without my cat and leaving him alone but Emily was patient with me and all of my requests and questions throughout the preparation for the stay! I’m so relieved to have a reliable, professional, and kind cat-sitter for our cat here in Virginia now!

I couldn't be more pleased and happy with the services of Emily during her two weeks caring for my cat Buddy! She is the epitome of cat sitting. Responsible, kind, and compassionate. This is my second time using Emily for a 4-day trip. Emily is patient and earns the trust of a cat remarkably quickly. She meets each cat at their level of comfort. Like her profile says, she treats cats at the individuals that they are. My cat listens for certain queues for playtime, treats, food, and birds. Emily was sure to use all the vernacular my cat was already familiar with in addition to always speaking to him in the most calming and respectful tones. Emily is super respectful of the house, which is also a big plus.

Thank you for taking care of our fur baby!! You did an amazing job. Emily is truly a cat whisperer! My fur baby Stout is a timid, shy, and skittish cat. Emily quietly got to his floor level and allowed him to come to her on his own terms. Emily was very good at understanding his need to connect how he likes. Soon enough, my stouts got on the floor and showed his belly and got all smitten with her! I was very impressed and relieved that they made a connection so fast 💨 Emily even cleaned a little and it was a very sweet thing to do, we appreciated it. We booked her right away again for this month and our Stout is excited to see her again! P.S. He misses her a lot and we loved how she sent us pictures every time 💓

Was nervous about leaving the cats for an extended holiday, but Emily was great. Sent pictures each day that captured their personalities, and she was very gracious about their less than perfect behavior. She was very responsive and helpful while setting up the reservation and throughout the trip.

Emily was fantastic in looking after my cat for two weeks! He requires some special handling so as to protect the handler from injury and she was perfect in communicating potential triggers and his behavior while I was gone. I would trust Emily implicitly with my cat again on any trip.

Emily was awesome. My orange cat is really scared of new people and he had no issues with her. In fact, he really liked her. Both of my kitties seemed happy when I came home. She sent regular updates and was very easy to communicate with.

Emily is seriously the best! My cat Moose is pretty shy to visitors, and typically hides from anyone that isn’t me unless she’s around them consistently for a few days. Moose warmed up to Emily as early as the first day she came by to check on her which was awesome. Emily is very responsive, accommodating, and sent lots of pictures of my fur baby while I was gone. Cannot recommend Emily enough! And 100% will be booking her in the future!

Emily was fantastic! Such a relief to find a good and reliable person! When our neighborhood high school senior was unavailable, and all our "plan B's" fell through we booked Emily but kept our expectations low, having had a mediocre experience in the past with a pet drop-in care service with another company. Emily was very responsive right from the beginning, and exceeded our expectations by sending pictures taken during her visits, etc. We'll definitely be looking to book her again in the future - we were stressed about finding someone and she was literally a dream come true.

TL;DR: 10/10 will hire Emily again Emily is the ultimate cat sitter for so many reasons: my scaredy cat met her and didn't hiss or run away; she sent pictures of the kitties while we were out of town; every communication with her is professional; she did an excellent job cleaning the litter boxes; and most of all, the cats were happy and relaxed when we returned because Emily had given them lots of attention.
