What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

While living with my roommates cats for the last 2 years, I gained lots of experience with taking care of their cats when they would be away from home. I’ve watched over both cats individually, both at the same time, sometimes for just a weekend, or most recently for almost 3 months while my roommate was away for work.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I simply love being around cats! I love that you have to gain their trust and earn their affection, which makes being around them so worth it. Because I absolutely adore cats, I know the importance of making sure a cat owner gets the best care for their pet, and I love being able to provide that for them.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I always take my time with timid and anxious cats, and I let them come to me first. I also go in with the mindset that they won’t necessarily warm up to me immediately, so I don’t put those expectations on the cat or try to speed up the process in order to put them at ease. Letting them know I am trustworthy is very important, so I let them smell me before approaching them, I offer them treats or toys, and I let them initiate any petting/wait for them to give me the “green light”.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
