What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I most enjoy the time I get to spend with animals, but I also love the peace of mind I give clients while they are away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two exotic shorthair cats, E.T. also known as "Extra Tony", and Butters also known as "Buddy". I love them so much.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available on holidays unless otherwise reflected on my availability calendar
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is a small fly fishing rod and fly that my friend made out of chicken neck feathers
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Some cats need extra space and that is okay. Some cats need extra time and patience and that is ok. I will set a routine and stick with it and let the cat warm up to it.

Everything about my experience with Jake was great, from the communication beforehand throughout the days he took care of my three cats. He checked in regularly and sent pictures and videos. It was the first time I left my cats and when I came back and they were calm and happy. I would definitely hire him again!

Jake took care of my 2 cats, one that has asthma. I was worried about her taking her medication because she is wary of strangers. This did not scare him away and he was able to successfully give her a pill concealed in a treat. I looked forward to his daily updates and pictures which eased my anxiety. I highly recommend him.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

South Burlington cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
