What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have extensive experience as a pet sitter. I have been taking care of cats and other animals since I was seven years old. I am very passionate about animals and making sure they have the best care possible. I have had 17 cats in my life, including six indoor only current ones. All were/are rescues. I have experience from pregnant mothers, the moment kittens are born to the unfortunate sad reality of end stage of life, and everything in between.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I really enjoy getting to know people and especially hearing about their furry family members. Seeing the joy in their eyes as they talk about their furry kiddos makes my whole day! I love being able to meet new cats and being accepted into that cats world and gaining trust!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a fur family of six! A sassy 15 yr old but deaf tortoiseshell, a shy 17 yr old cancer survivor who’s beat the odds, a 13 yr old bengal who’s a purr machine, a princess 10 yr old tuxedo, a mischievous 5 yr old who was a four month old feral when I rescued him, and lastly my spicy baby who is 3 yrs old who is a bit delicate with being blind, asthmatic and has IBD; but don’t let his bad mood fool you, we are connected and he’s my lap baby!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Being a anxious cat momma myself, I want someone who is going to take their time and follow my instructions. Someone who will treat my fur babies with the same love and respect. Always being cautious as mine are indoor only. Knowing cats as I do, they are master hide and seekers and powerful magicians at getting into places or situations they’re not supposed to. I want someone to take precautions when coming into my home and being aware of disease/parasite transference. Asking lots of questions and understanding everyone is nervous the first time meeting new hoomans and their precious fur babies.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always follow the routine of the pet parent when pet sitting as that allows the cat to feel comfortable at home as cats fear change. Making sure the cat does not get out and taking extra precautions ensures a good and safe environment for the pets while the owners are away.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available to work most holidays and weekdays/weekends. I have my own transportation and will be the only one who enters your home.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Well, my favorite cat toy is the bird wand, but cats fall into two categories: a tree dweller or a bush hunter. So you need different toys for those personalities. Tree dwellers love bird toys, whereas bush hunters love mouse and rolling ball toys.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
