I’ve been a proud cat mom for 21 years. My first two boys, Odin and Slytherman—my little black void littermates—were the loves of my life. They traveled coast to coast with me four times in my wanderlust days, proving that home truly is where the cat is.

I’m passionate about learning each cat’s unique personality and preferences. My friends often say I’m the best cat mom they’ve ever known. I grow my own wheatgrass and catnip, provide the best food, water fountains, enriching toys, and a ridiculous amount of cozy blankets and snuggle friends. I constantly read and research feline behavior and best practices, and my dream is to open a cat sanctuary to give as many kitties as possible a loving home.
I also donate food and toys to local rescues like ASPCA, Spokane SCRAPS and Pasadena Humane Society, especially during times of crisis like the CA wildfires. I have a current cat/dog CPR and First Aid Certification that can be verified here.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Besides 21 years of being a cat mom myself, I officially did cat sitting for my best friend's 3 cats, 3x week for 3 years. She is a nurse who works long hours and she travels. She also has a French Bulldog who thinks she is a cat that I cared for.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to meet other cat parents, and learning the unique personality and silliness of each cat. Each cat is so beautiful and special and I feel so fortunate to get to know and snuggle each fur baby I meet.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I think any repeat job is very special as it means the world to me to patiently gain the trust of an animal over time. I love learning an animals favorite spots for scratchy scratches, favorite treats, and toys, it is so fun!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Absolutely! My two little girl litter mates are 3 years old now and their names are Freya and Loki. I rescued them when they were only 4 weeks old and learned all about bottle feeding and weaning.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Thoroughly read a sitters profile information. Trust your intuitions when meeting a sitter. Don't be afraid to ask as many questions as it takes for you to feel comfortable.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Being observant and focused at all times. Not coming to a job distracted. Treating cats and homes as if it were my own. Double checking cat is secure inside and door has been locked.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am happy to work holidays so that you can have peace of mind that your little angels are happy and your home is safe during holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Fuzzy balls galore! It's hilarious watching Loki carry them around in her mouth like prey and shove them under doorways so she can fish them out again. Freya thinks they come to life magically and tosses them in the air.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I observe their behavior closely and match my actions accordingly. For most cats it takes a while to build trust and calm their fears, therefore you have to be patient and show them you aren't going to press past their boundaries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Cheney cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
