If you’re someone who feels anxious about leaving your cat in the care of a stranger, I understand. I’ll care for your cat the same way I want someone to care for mine—with gentleness, compassion, and fondness.
I grew up with cats and have shared my home with cats as an adult. I deeply value the bond we share with our feline companions... Hi, I’m Temujin. For years, I avoided traveling because I hated being away from my cats. More recently, my work has required me to travel, and that’s when I discovered Meowtel. I still hate leaving my current cat, Kulta, but having a sitter I trust gives me real peace of mind.
If you’re someone who feels anxious about leaving your cat in the care of a stranger, I understand. I’ll care for your cat the same way I want someone to care for mine—with gentleness, compassion, and fondness.
I grew up with cats and have shared my home with cats as an adult. I deeply value the bond we share with our feline companions. Every cat has their own personality, and I take the time to learn what makes them comfortable and happy.
During each visit, I’ll provide fresh water, feed your cat according to your instructions, scoop the litter box, and spend quality time playing with them or simply keeping them company—whatever they’re most comfortable with. At this time, I don’t offer medication administration.
I currently offer drop-in visits rather than overnight stays because I don’t want to leave Kulta alone overnight. That also means I’m committed to providing focused, attentive care during each visit.
I don’t smoke or wear cologne, and I use fragrance-free laundry detergent. I also work with youth and undergo regular background checks, so you can feel confident welcoming me into your home.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have one cat, Kulta. His name is a Finnish word which is a term of endearment and also loosely translates as ‘golden’. He was a stray when he showed up on my doorstep. He’s a muscular 14 lb cat but he’s a real sweetheart.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Kulta’s favorite toy is a simple ~6 foot length of fabric. Sometimes he’ll chase it through the house if I drag it behind me. Othertimes he’ll swipe at it while I swing it near him.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I think it’s important to be as non-threatening as possible. I’ll gently anounce myself so as not to startle them. I approach slowly and get down low. I also reach out and allow cats to smell my hand and allow them to decide if they want to be petted. Patience is key.

Temujin is the absolute best cat sitter. He is gentle with my cat, respectful of my home, and treats my cat like his own. Temujin was so patient with my cat and let him approach in his own time. He was really good about updating me about how my little one was doing while I was out of town. He clearly loves cats and took the time to play with my kitty and give lots of pets and cuddles. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Issaquah cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
