I’ve been a kitty owner and lover since childhood and have volunteered at different pet shelters over the years... In a different world we could take our kitties along wherever we go. In this one, though, that’s often not practical. And it can be worrying to think about leaving our beloved companions behind when we’re away. I limited my travel for years over it. Now I love acting as a pet parent stand-in for others, helping to ease the stress of necessary separations for you and your cat(s).
I’ve been a kitty owner and lover since childhood and have volunteered at different pet shelters over the years. I still find cats endlessly interesting animals and love meeting and caring for all kinds, adjusting how I present myself to suit each cat’s unique personalities, situations and boundaries.
The more I know about your cat kid, the better I can care for them. I strongly prefer meeting up beforehand, so they know I’m the person you’ve selected to be there for them while you’re away. Expect updates as frequently as you like with as much or little detail as you prefer. I’m also happy to handle many medications and to water plants at your direction.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’m new to Meowtel but have cared for my own cats as well as my family’s and friends’ kitties for decades.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I’m not in a position to have my own cats right now, meaning I have 100% of my kitty-designated love and affection available to give to yours. While compulsive cat video scrolling is one of my favorite hobbies, caring for real kitties, making them purr, and spoiling them whenever possible is the best.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
A complimentary onsite meet and greet for any kitties I’m not yet familiar with is a must for me. That allows me to take the best possible care of your cat(s) and your home and lets them know that I’m parent-approved. I want to learn as much as possible about their likes and dislikes, and their needs and habits, as well as yours.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, with a few exceptions.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Da Bird is a reliable stand-by, but the best toys are the ones your cat(s) like best. Mine particularly enjoyed a game of Treat Hide (in plain sight) ‘n Seek every evening.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
We knows kitties like to set the tone and boundaries in their relationships. So I watch and wait for my instructions 😉 Even if I can’t see a kitty, I keep a soothing running patter going, assuring them that all is well, Mom and/or Dad will be home soon and, of course, how amazing they are. Working at PAWS I learned how helpful verbal affection is, especially for shy or traumatized kitties who aren’t into the physical kind.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
