What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

My catsitting experience dates back to middle school, where I would tag along with my mom to check on her various friend's cats while they were traveling. In high school, I became more independent as a catsitter and would watch over the cats on days where my mom wasn't able to. I was unable to catsit in college, but now I'm happy to pick back up where I left off!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

During an initial meeting, I go over the basics like feeding times and routines, litterbox changing, and anything else important. I make sure to take notes on all of this if it isn't already written down. I also ask about their cat's personality and typical behaviors, and I will see if the cat is interested in approaching and greeting me so they can be familiar with me before I start watching over them.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

When I arrive at a home for catsitting, I always make sure I physically see each cat at least once while I'm there, to ensure that they're inside and safe. I also am very alert when opening exterior doors to ensure there are no escape attempts, and I always double-check locks before leaving.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I will almost always be available to catsit during holidays, as I typically do not plan to travel during them.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I let them go at their own pace and I always respect their limits. If they need to hide or don't want to be touched, that's okay. What's most important to me is their own comfort level.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
