I am a Cat pet owner with two 10+ years old domestic shorthairs and recently adopted a 2.5 years old RagDoll!! I treat my kitties as my first children. I have a home where all my cats roams around freely and play with their dad and human brothers. I feel cats and I exchange an energy when I greet them. I keep a consistent routine for food and drink, clean bowls and litter box. It takes time to really know a cat, but as with my years of bonding with cats, I prioritize these as cat's fir... Looking into their eyes, coat, bum, gum, ears give a lot of health related information that I can communicate. Cats are territorial and it's a human's responsibility to honor it if stepping in. Every cat is different, so taking time to know them is important. When I sit a cat, I care and communicate just the same as I would do for my own pets. I like to write detail notes and send a lot of pictures cause I know how hard can be to be away from fur babies. Cats are magnificent!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

The introduction with a new cat is what I enjoy the most because that's when I get a glimpse in their personality. Depending on how they want to approach me, I welcome them to mark me or give them their space if they seem not interested. I find this exercise very interesting!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Respecting their boundaries. Cats are unique in deciding who they want to open upto. So initially I am very patient to let the kitty get comfortable with me. Meanwhile, I will get familiar with their possible hideouts to make sure they have access to food and water and littre incase they don't wanna come out. Sharing treats, encouraging them to play, talking to them are all great ways to interact with a timid or anxious cat. However, it is also important for me to keep my experienced eye on them to identify any signs of distress or illness.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
