Cat Sitting in Seattle, WA

Hi there! I’m Devin, a current graduate student and lifelong cat lover who has two decades of experience caring for kitties to help them live their best lives! I live in north Seattle with my cat, Wilson, who is a very high-energy and playful guy, and I love trying out new ways to provide enrichment for him!

I also have ample experience being exceedingly patient and gentle with cats who are more skittish and sensitive to new people, especially as I am a regular volunteer at a local cat cafe where I provide care for adoptable shelter kitties. As an introvert myself, I get it! New people can be scary, and I will do my best to make sure your kitty is as comfortable with me in their space as possible...

As an introvert myself, I get it! New people can be scary, and I will do my best to make sure your kitty is as comfortable with me in their space as possible.

My goal for taking care of any living creature (including our beloved feline friends!) is to do my absolute best to keep them happy, healthy, and safe. I know firsthand that it’s nervewracking to enrust the wellbeing of any family member, four-legged or otherwise, to someone else. Rest assured, I am a person who deeply values communication, punctuality, and meticulous attention to detail in addition to the honor and privilege of caring for cats.

I am fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19, up to date on my annual flu vaccine, and very diligent about hand hygiene! I’m also very happy to wear a mask in your home upon request.

Lastly, I have quite a passion for digital and Polaroid pet portrait photography, so you can expect many cute photo updates while your kitty is in my care.

Thank you for considering my services. I look forward to meeting you and your cat(s)!

Learn More About Devin

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I have an especially soft spot in my heart for that moment when a cat learns for the first time that you (as a new-to-them human) are a safe source of comfort. Nothing beats winning the trust of an animal through kindness!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I grew up with two wonderful cats, Arthur and Maxwell, the oldest of whom lived to the great age of 19. When I moved away from home as an adult, they came to live with me, and it was an honor to know and care for them for their entire lives. Now, I have a 1-year-old cat named Wilson, who I adopted in March of 2025. He’s full of energy, so when he isn’t demanding cuddles and pets, I enjoy finding new and creative ways to keep him entertained. Wilson loves his toys, of course, (especially anything he can chase!) but he also watches “Cat TV” and occasionally plays “squash the bug” games for cats on my iPad.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I’m a big fan of communicating absolutely every detail to your sitter that YOU would want to be aware of if you were just meeting your cat for the first time! All kitties are individuals, so what are your cat’s particular “likes” and “dislikes” you want your sitter to know about? I think it’s also vital for every animal caretaker to have a plan in place ahead of time, just in case of unexpected emergencies! If something goes awry, where in your home is your cat most likely to try and hide? What is the contact info and address of closest emergency or after-hours veterinarian? The answers to questions like these are great information for a sitter to have!

Devin was amazing!!! I love lots of updates about my furbabies while I'm away, and Devin obliged beautifully with gorgeous photos of even the skittish members of the family. I could tell from the photos that everyone was relaxed around Devin and showing their full personalities. 🩷 I felt very comfortable knowing they were in good care.

Devin was so wonderful with our cat while we were away! She takes some time to warm up to new people and Devin was very patient with her, and eventually won over her trust. We’d definitely have Devin as our cat sitter again in the future.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
