What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for most of my life, and have successfully cared for cats with a variety of personalities and health needs. I have cat sat for periods ranging from a few days to a few weeks, and am comfortable with a variety of feeding, litterbox, play, and medication needs.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am typically available most holidays, and I try to maintain some scheduling flexibility to help meet clients' needs. If you have any scheduling questions, feel free to contact me!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I like to allow a timid or anxious cat to set the terms of our interaction. I don't want to force them to interact with me before they're ready, so I typically provide a calming presence and allow them to sniff my hand or glasses once they seem a bit more comfortable. If they're open to it, I like to play with them a bit or offer a treat, and only when they're ready do I see if they'll let me pet them. My focus is to make sure they understand that I'm a safe person that they can trust, and I'm happy to spend as much time as they need to become comfortable with me.

Sarah was amazing and took excellent care of my two cats. They both can be shy guys and have medical needs but we’re both happy and comfortable with Sarah. my older cat usually hides when anyone comes over but he didn’t hide and even let Sarah pet him! I would definitely recommend Sarah and would be delighted to have her take care of my kitties again.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
