What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
A major motivation in doing this work is how much I love animals and how emotionally and mentally rewarding it is to have that opportunity to build that mutually beneficial bond between a pet and yourself.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available almost all holidays, I enjoy being available during that time, is it a time I celebrate as well too. The ability to spend time with animals is a gift for me already, further enhanced by the knowledge that there are wins all around as the humans can travel with peace of mind and the furries can stay home where they are comfortable as well too.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I would say my go to first way of being around a timid or anxious cat is to be hyper sensitive of how I even move in a shared space with them. I will completely pause where I am standing, look down, I may even decide that I do not need to continue heading the way they are currently, if I do need to go that direction, I may walk backwards or walk sideways so my back is towards them. My whole attitude is that they are in control of when or how contact takes place. Meals are usually times where trust can be built as I consistently do all the things to contribute to a predictable and nuturing environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
