Every cat has their unique purrsonality, so I will tailor my care to their comfort and needs and will treat each cat as if they're my own!
On top of feeding and cleaning nessities, playtime is also very important so I make sure they get plenty of enrichment and exercise during my visits.
In terms of caring for your home, I'm a "neat freak" so I will leave your home exactly the way you left it if not cleaner! :)

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
A lot of my experience comes from my fostering & volunteer work where I've fostered over 20 adult cats & kittens. The feral/stray cats that come into my care have had a wide variety of temperaments and health needs, many of which are in rough shape physically & need a lot of socializing. I've worked with feral tomcats, fractious mama cats, and skittish kittens who turn into Edward Scissorhands and help them adjust to humans & indoor life. As a result, I'm very comfortable handling and caring for many types of cat personalities and various health needs.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have 3 of my own, a spicy gray tabby who was previously semi-feral & two fun loving orange tabbies. One has CKD and IBD where he has to take medication daily, so I'm very familiar with giving oral medication (pill, liquid) or transdermal.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
When I'm looking for a sitter for my cats, I like to go with someone who has experience caring for cats outside of their own because it means they're comfortable with different cats & behaviors. Meet & greets are complimentary after a reservation is made & accepted. During that meeting, share your cat's routine and any quirks with the sitter. Follow your instincts. If it's not a good fit, you will know. Don't be afraid to say so and you're free to cancel. There's no offense taken! **Please note, I'm unable to cat sit for clients who live north of 145th St at this time.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I follow their lead and let them tell me what they're comfortable with. I don't force interaction, I make sure I'm a comfortable presence going about the drop in to-do's and other activities. I'll try coaxing with some Churu and playing with their favorite toy to entice them to build their trust. I've found that being a calm and gentle presence goes a very long way. I also like to tell the parent to leave clothing with their smells in their kitty's favorite places to provide additional comfort.

She even checked certain things that weren’t necessary (water fountain / automatic litter box) to make sure everything was functioning well and the cats were taken care of. Jessica was wonderful! She cared for my cat for a week including daily meds, probiotics, feeding and litter box cleaning. My cat is very shy and fussy with new people but she was calm and comfortable with her. I was especially nervous about the medications and she handled it without any problems which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She also sent daily photo updates which I really appreciated and and looked forward to. Jessica was reliable, communicative, and clearly very experienced with cats. I would absolutely book her again.

Jessica was incredibly responsive and kind throughout our experience. This was my first time booking a cat sitter through Meowtel, and she made the process feel easy and reassuring from the start. We had a quick in person meeting beforehand so she could meet the cats and go over care details, which I really appreciated. She sent photos at every visit along with updates on how the cats were doing, including their litter box activity. While we were away, one of our cats managed to get into the food pantry and turn it into an all you can eat buffet. Jessica went above and beyond by cleaning everything up and even blocking the door so it couldn’t happen again. I would absolutely recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful cat sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking her again in the future!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
