Hi, I’m Kevin — a longtime cat sitter with years of experience caring for cats both on and off pet care platforms throughout Seattle. I have over 100 five star reviews on Rover and looking to expand to Meowtel 👋🐈

Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of feline needs, including:
• energetic kittens and enrichment-focused play
• shy or anxious cats who need gentle, low-pressure care
• senior cats requiring medications, inhalers, and extra comfort
• multi-cat households with different personalities and routines
• cats with special diets, behavioral sensitivities, or structured schedules

My approach is calm, observant, and tailored to your cat’s individual temperament. Some cats want play and interaction, while others simply need a steady, respectful presence — and I’m comfortable meeting them wherever they are.

Because I stay local to the Belltown, South Lake Union, and Capitol Hill areas, I’m able to offer reliable scheduling, responsive communication, and flexible check-ins when possible.

During visits, you can expect thoughtful updates, photos, and consistent care that prioritizes your cat’s routine and emotional comfort. My goal is always to create a low-stress experience so you can travel with peace of mind while your cat feels safe at home.

I’d love to learn more about your cat and see if we’re a great fit.

Learn More About Kevin

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been caring for cats professionally for over five years across pet care platforms as well as through independent clients in Seattle. During that time, I’ve worked with a wide range of feline personalities and needs — from energetic kittens and multi-cat households to senior cats requiring medications, inhalers, and extra support. Cats have also been a constant part of my personal life. I currently live with two very different personalities — Agent Clarice, a curious and playful explorer, and Princess Peach, a shy sweetheart who’s taught me the value of patience and gentle trust-building. That daily experience helps me approach every visit with attentiveness, flexibility, and respect for each cat’s unique temperament.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to start with a meet & greet whenever possible so I can learn your cat’s routine, preferences, hiding spots, and any medical or behavioral considerations. I also take time to understand your expectations for communication and updates. During visits, I prioritize maintaining your cat’s normal routine — including feeding, litter care, enrichment, and companionship tailored to their comfort level. Some cats want active play, while others simply need calm presence and reassurance. You can expect thoughtful updates, photos, and clear communication throughout the booking so you feel confident your cat is safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I approach shy or anxious cats with patience, predictability, and respect for their boundaries. Rather than forcing interaction, I focus on creating a calm environment and allowing the cat to engage at their own pace. This might include quiet companionship, slow movements, gentle voice cues, and enrichment activities that feel safe and low pressure. Over time, many timid cats begin to build trust simply through consistency and a non-intrusive presence. Living with a shy cat myself has reinforced how meaningful small moments of trust can be, and I always prioritize emotional comfort just as much as physical care.

I want to shout Kevin’s name from the rooftops he was so wonderful! Our Stanley was very recently diagnosed with heart failure and now takes several meds that have to be given on a strict schedule. The night before our trip, I realized the people we had lined up to cat sit were not going to be able to give the meds and I was ready to cancel our trip. I reached out to Kevin who responded promptly and agreed to come help with giving medication. He was always on time and got the meds done quickly to keep it low stress for Stanley. I will absolutely book with Kevin again and recommend him to everyone I know!

kevin is an absolutle delight!! my cats loved him, he took care of every single thing they needed and I asked for (I’m a bit picky) and after 9 days away, the home was 95% as we left it if not for the cats. They were taken care of which is the main thing, amazing updates and the best pictures, puntual, responsive, respectful, 20/10!

Kevin was great, he rolled with my cat’s bossy behavior and she warmed up to him right away. My family enjoyed the funny photos he sent during our trip. I don’t have to say I would book Kevin again because I’ve already done it.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
