What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I’m a cat person through and through, so I love spending time with cats in general! I like learning the personalities of each and every cat I meet. Being a cat mom myself, I understand that cat owners are fiercely committed to ensuring their fur babies are cared for with their needs being met. When I cat sit, I bring that knowledge and empathy to the table, ensuring my care flexes to meet the specific needs of each individual cat, because that’s exactly what I would want for my fur baby!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I do! Her name is Dottie. I adopted her (or rather she chose me) when she was about 5, and have had her for 7 years now. She’s an absolute doll and can best be described as a “sassy sweetheart.” She has had bladder issues in the past and is currently on a prescription diet to keep her feeling her best. Having a fur baby that requires special care, I understand how important it is to find someone that matches that level of care and compassion when you are looking for a cat sitter.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Typically, yes! I always ensure to keep my calendar updated with my availability, and will communicate with clients if I am unavailable for any reason.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Having had cats myself that are more reserved, or cat sat for friends/family with kitties that fall into that category, I am very comfortable with cats who may take a little time to warm up. When meeting any new cat for the first time, I make sure to pay attention to their specific cues and allow them to approach me in their own time. I understand the importance of picking up on a cat’s body language and will adapt my care based on what they are communicating to me. I always speak in a calm tone, limit sudden movements, and respect the cat’s personal space.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
