How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Before I would start, I would communicate thoroughly with the owner about the cats' routines, health, and any specific instructions. These instructions include figuring out their cat(s)' schedule for feeding, and play to minimize stress. Checking for potential hazards like toxic plants or small objects is important too when playing with the cat. Keep emergency contacts handy is also important, so I would like to check with their owner what those contacts are. If the cat has outdoor access, I want to ensure it's secure. I wan to Maintain communication with the owner through updates and photos if needed. By being attentive, I believe you can provide a safe and comfortable environment for the cats and maintain the security of the home.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite Cat toy is the laser pointer. My older cousin has cats which I visit a lot! When I play with them, it is funny to see them jump and move around to catch the little laser around the room. I would only do this if the cats have space that doesn't contain of delicate objects. I just think it is a great way for cats to have some exercise and be entertained.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I like to handle cats that are timid and anxious through remembering that every cat is unique, so it may take time to find the right approach to handle a timid and anxious cat. Patience and understanding are key to helping them feel more comfortable and secure in their environment. Also, positive reinforcement is a great way for cats to warm up to me. Ways I do this is through treats, praise, and gentle strokes to reward the cat for brave behavior. This can help build their confidence over time and learn that I am not there to cause harm.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
