What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been a proud cat mom for the past four years, and caring for my sweet girl, Binx, has given me plenty of hands-on experience with the everyday needs, personalities, and quirks of cats! I’ve learned that every kitty is unique. Some are affectionate little shadows who want to follow you everywhere, while others are shy and need extra patience before they feel comfortable. I understand the importance of respecting their boundaries, recognizing their behaviors, and making sure they feel safe and loved. While I’m newer to offering cat sitting professionally, I’m certainly not new to caring for cats! I’m comfortable with feeding routines, litter box maintenance, playtime, and giving cats the individual attention they deserve. I’m excited to turn my love for cats into something that helps other cat parents feel confident and at ease while they’re away! 🐾❤️
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new cat parent, my first priority is making sure both you and your kitty feel completely comfortable with me! 🐾 I love starting with a meet-and-greet where I can get to know your cat, learn about their personality, daily routine, feeding schedule, favorite toys, and any special needs or little quirks they might have. I understand that every cat is different! Some are social butterflies who want immediate attention, while others need a little extra patience and time to warm up. I always let cats approach me at their own pace. During each visit, I’ll carefully follow your instructions, provide fresh food and water, clean the litter box, and spend quality time playing, cuddling, or simply keeping your kitty company. Your cat’s safety, happiness, and comfort are always my top priorities! 🐾 As a cat mom myself, I understand how important it is to know your fur baby is in safe, loving hands while you’re away. Before my first visit, I like to familiarize myself with your cat’s routine, any medical needs, emergency contacts, and specific instructions for your home. During every visit, I make sure doors and windows are securely closed, keep an eye out for anything potentially dangerous, and carefully follow all feeding and care instructions. I’m especially mindful of curious little escape artists! I always respect your home and privacy, clean up after your kitty, and double-check that everything is locked and secure before leaving. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
