What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for almost a decade! I love all cats and strive to allow owners the peace of mind to know they can go about their lives while their babies are well cared for!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I’m a huge cat person! I love cats and they love me! Their unique personalities and temperaments make it so much fun to earn their trust and respect.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I had a client who had been extremely nervous to leave her kitty alone for the first time. She let me know the cat has separation anxiety and would likely be cautious of anyone new in the house. I asked her what the cats favorite toys and snacks were and made sure to locate those right away. I approached cautiously and allowed the cat to approach me as it was ready. By the end of the week that cat would follow me all around the house and always wanted to be in my lap. The owner felt so much better seeing all the photos I sent her of her cat and I getting along well.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have always had cats! My current household has two brothers, Crash and Spryo. They are three years old!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Ask lots of questions! Never feel like anything is too big of an ask! Those are your pets and they deserve to receive the best care you can find! Choose a sitter who communicates quickly and efficiently as well, this will bring much more comfort while you’re away from your cats.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Getting to know the parent and their cat parenting styles. It’s very important for cats to maintain their routines to avoid stress. I always find out their schedules, food and toy preferences, and any extra activities they enjoy doing! It’s also very important for me to learn about their cat’s temperament with strangers.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I will never do anything without discussing it with the pet parent first. I would never leave windows or doors open, or allow anyone else into the home unless I was notified about it ahead of time. Ensuring they have access to clean water and litter boxes and regular feedings is also essential.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I just need to know within the notice posted on my profile and holidays are not a problem at all!

What is your favorite cat toy?

Any crinkly toys because my cats are hilarious with them! I also love the toys that are on strings attached to wands as they let the cat play and still have its space!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I let them approach me first and on their own terms! I move slowly and quietly to not alarm them. Having their favorite snacks and toys handy helps as well!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
