I've been a cat lover since my family did foster care for the Humane Society when I was growing up. We had anywhere from 4 to 20 cats at a time. As an adult I've had between 3-7 at any given time.
Working from home for 8 years has given me a lot more time to learn and understand cats even better. I communicate with them well, and they will follow me around the house and cry outside the bathroom door when there's other people in the house sitting on the couch... Hello! My name is Matt and I'm in my early 40s. I currently have 4 cats, Harley, Finnick, Zara, and Luna.
I've been a cat lover since my family did foster care for the Humane Society when I was growing up. We had anywhere from 4 to 20 cats at a time. As an adult I've had between 3-7 at any given time.

I don't know if I love them more or they love me more.
One of my cats has hyperthyroidism, and another passed away with diabetes last year. I have spent 100s of hours the last 18 months researching cat health, medication, and behavior. I buy meat and grind it myself for them now. I've helped rehabilitate cats who were abused and neglected, and have never met a cat I haven't fallen in love with.
My daily schedule is somewhat flexible since I work from home. I can come by once per day, twice per day, ensure they have access to clean fresh water, food, and can play with them to get some of their energy out so you can relax while you're away and know they are getting plenty of love!

I have been cat sitting for friends and family most of my life. Thought I would try to expand a bit!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Being a cat lover myself, I know it's hard to relax when you're away when you have cats at home. Even with food and water, they can still get lonely and miss human interaction. I like giving people the peace of mind their cats are being taken care of. And of COURSE I love meeting new cats!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have 4 cats. One male and three females. Finnick, Harley, Zara, and Luna. Two aged 13 and two that are a 1.5 years old.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
