We believe that building a relationship with your cat beforehand helps them feel more at ease when we start caring for them.
We understand that every cat has different preferences—some enjoy interactive play, while others prefer quiet companionship. We take pride in adjusting our care to suit their personalities, whether it's spending time cuddling or providing stimulation through toys and activities. What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
We’ve been cat sitting since Meowtel’s launch nearly a decade ago, and over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of caring for so many wonderful kitties. Our experience has only grown, and we’ve built lasting relationships with both the cats and their owners. It's been an incredibly rewarding journey, and we’re so grateful for the trust and connections we’ve made along the way.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
We love building trust with each cat and getting to know their unique personalities. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company, it’s rewarding to make them feel safe and happy while their humans are away.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of our favorite cat-sitting experiences was with a sweet but extremely timid kitty. Her owner warned us that she usually hid from new people for days and rarely warmed up to sitters. On our first visit, we gave her space, spoke softly, and let her come to us on her terms. To our surprise, by the second visit, she was peeking around corners, and by the third, she was curling up next to us for head scratches! Her owner was completely shocked and thrilled when we sent a video of her purring in our lap. From then on, every visit, she greeted us at the door, ready for playtime and snuggles. Her owner booked us every time they traveled, knowing she felt safe and happy in our care. Moments like this make cat sitting so rewarding.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
We have two amazing 16-year-old kitties, Ichi and Nana, who we've had since they were tiny babies. They're not just our fur babies but our best friends, and we love and adore them more than anything!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for a reliable, experienced sitter with good reviews, schedule a meet-and-greet, and ensure they’re comfortable with your cat’s needs, routine, and any special care.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
We start with a meet-and-greet to understand their cat’s personality, routine, and any special needs. We ask about feeding, litter box habits, favorite toys, and any medical concerns. Clear communication and trust-building ensure a smooth experience for both the cat and their human!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
We follow the owner's instructions carefully, secure doors and windows, provide regular updates, and ensure the cat's environment is safe and stress-free.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! We're usually available during holidays, but booking in advance is recommended.
What is your favorite cat toy?
We love interactive wand toys—they keep cats engaged, active, and strengthen the bond between us!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
We give them space, move slowly, and let them approach us on their terms. We use a calm voice, gentle movements, and treats or toys to build trust over time.

Jeff did amazing at taking care of our three cats! He even went beyond to vacuum, sweeped and threw away our cat litter. Our cats got comfortable with him fast! He also sent us updates with pictures during his visit. We would definitely trust him again with our cats the next time we are out of town.

Excellent care. Sitter showed up regularly so my furbabies knew he was coming. He did everything we asked which included some lights on/off and TV on/off and provided medication to one of our furbabies. Very accommodating. Trustworthy...which was important to us since furbabies are our kiddos. And helped us when we somehow got locked out of meowtel site...sitter was notified and continued to send daily pics and updates via text. Jeff us a great guy...will definitely use him again!!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Chandler cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!

Braelynn (the daughter) watched my two cats for a week over Thanksgiving. My older cat takes oral medication twice a day and the younger one is very shy, so I was worried about leaving them alone. Came home to some happy cats! Michelle is flexible when it comes to the special needs of my two boys. One is older with a heart condition, and the younger one is too rough with him often so during the day, they are separated in their own private areas complete with cat trees, etc. My younger one who initially has social issues really warmed up to Michelle, which says a lot about her! Highly recommend.

Michelle's husband Jeff and their son were the ones who watched our kitties. We were very satisfied with them. They came by every day as agreed cared for and gave our cats attention.
