I have sat for friends many times and I have experience in the past volunteering at a Humane Society. I am very attuned to cat behavior, having had cats my whole life. I can promise to take great care of your cherished friends.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I started using Meowtel in the fall of 2023. Before that, I had been a catsitter for a few families back in the midwest. I have had cats for years... decades even! and love every furry face.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
The cuddles and purrs are the best part! Our "conversations" are always interesting as well- even when I am mainly being yelled at for food.

Yes, 2 cats- Oj and PicCal
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone you are comfortable with! They will be in your home while you're away so be sure both parties are happy with the tasks expected.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to visit the home and get all the details about feeding, litter habits, dos and don'ts, and what to expect when the client is away. We go over where to put the litter waste each day, how much and what to feed, and if the cats are not allowed in certain areas or anything to be on the lookout for. I always ask if there is garbage, mail, or plans that will need to be taken care of as well. I always remind people to leave out cleaning supplies for surprise messes!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always open doors carefully to ensure nobody is behind a door or trying to get out. I talk out loud during the visit so a shy kitty will know where I am and that I am friendly. I generally like to play in the same spot each time so they can come to expect that from me. If they do not want to play, I spend the playtime just talking to them or sitting still to see if they want to venture over. I never force play.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Usually I am around yes!
What is your favorite cat toy?
Anything that gets the cats excited enough to pounce and roll, capturing it in all 4 paws!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always let timid cats have their space. I talk to myself out loud when in their homes so they know I am there and making their food or cleaning up. I am sure they know the words for “dinner” and “treat” so I saw them. I like to physically see a cat on a visit to be sure they are ok but if the client advises that they may hide the whole time I never push it. Checking that the food, water, and litter changes daily is a good indicator and I let the client know if I have not seen the cat.

Jennifer was the absolute BEST!!! My boys were kept in great and safe care. She played with them nonstop and kept them full of treats!! I think they were hoping she walked through the door and not me… She also kept my house super clean and even got litter to top off their box on her own volition. If you want your cats cared for better than you knew was possible, book with Jennifer!! I will 1000000% be booking again!!!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chandler cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
