I've had cats and loved cats my whole life. Some of my earliest memories are of fun times with cats. As a little girl through my teen years, I cared for barn cats and kittens..... I know how important it is to have the peace of mind that your furry family members are well cared for when you're away. When I cat sit, I strive to make kitties comfortable and happy, respecting and catering to each unique personality. My schedule is flexible so I am usually able to follow a cat's daily routine, hopefully minimizing any stress of their family being away.
I've had cats and loved cats my whole life. Some of my earliest memories are of fun times with cats. As a little girl through my teen years, I cared for barn cats and kittens... LOTS of them! Of course they all had different personalities, different likes and dislikes. I had a lot of practice becoming in tune with and accommodating to all their different needs. Along with lots of love, play, cuddles, care and attention, I did have to administer medicines. I learned a lot and established a strong foundation of cat knowledge. Those early experiences shaped and influenced my life-long love of caring for cats.
I live in Chandler but I can travel to other towns. I am able to do overnight stays. I am able to care for cats of all ages and am comfortable administering medications. I am happy to accommodate any special requirements your kitties may need.
I will give my loving care to your cats as if they were my own. It would be my honor to sit for your cat(s).

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3 cats. Their names are Addi, Tom and Alice. Addi is my 17 year old, beautiful orange with white long hair cat. She has always been a spicy diva and is very vocal. Tom and Alice are 3 year old brother and sister. They are so sweet and such good kitties. They are more shy than Addi, especially Alice, but they love to play and get their cuddle time in. They all really come alive at night! I adore all 3 of them!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety and security are a very important top priority to me. I take the utmost care to follow Cat Parents' instructions precisely! I pay great attention to detail and I know how kitties think!
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am usually available on Holidays. My family in Arizona is pretty small and we keep our Holidays simple and flexible. We typically plan our get togethers around each other's schedules.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I enter the kitties home centered with my calm, kind energy. Moving slowly, I would try different things to see what kitty likes, such as playing with a toy, speaking softly, holding my hand out for a sniff, offering an approved treat, or simply just sit still and quiet on the floor and give kitty time and space. I am very patient and never push or rush the kitty. The cat gets to decide on his/her own terms when or if he/she will engage.

I asked Rachael to come back for a second visit and she once again was excellent at taking care of my boy and of my place. She helped me collect a package and closed up the house so we could turn on the AC as temps climbed while I was out. Rachael takes care of things as if they are her own, which is so appreciated. I can’t recommend Rachael enough as a cat sitter! From the moment she arrived for the meet and great it was clear how much she cared for animals. My cat did not shy away and went up to greet her. She took the time to ask questions about my cat, his routine and expectations for his care. I received daily updates with great pictures that assured me things were going well. Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chandler cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Rachael was AMAZING!! She made everything so easy. She sent so many pictures every day and gave me as many updates as I needed to feel comfortable! The cats were barely even bothered when I actually got home from my trip. And Rachael checked in with me to make sure I made it home safe too. Rachael watched our two boys for 2 weeks and she was absolutely amazing! We felt so comfortable knowing she was checking in on them everyday and giving them so much love and playtime. Rachael did a great job taking care of our three kitties for a week. One cat, Jelly Bean, requires special medication twice a day and Rachael was able to get her to partake with no problems. She sent frequent photos, provided the cats with some entertainment, and they were all happy and healthy when we returned.

Oh my gosh, where to begin? Rachael is experienced, kind, friendly and extremely helpful. She was always on time and left the cat areas of the house cleaner than they were before we left. Rachael's communication skills are excellent, we got our nightly update from her, always with great pictures of her interacting with the cats. I hope she's with Meowtel for a long time, because we'll definitely be looking for her next time we take a long trip.
