Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I have two cats named Moose and Sander. They are both senior kitties. I would best describe them as “frenemies”. Cuddling on the window sill one moment and getting into a slow motion fight the next. Sander is a chatterbox and Moose is a snuggle bug. I love them more than anything in the world.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

The best advice I would give to a customer looking to hire a sitter is to pay close attention to their communication style. The last thing you want when you are away from your beloved pets is a sitter who communicates poorly or who does not communicate at all. If you have a bad feeling about them before hiring them, trust your gut!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

In my experience, the best way to handle an anxious or timid cat is to let them approach you. If they are timid, but approaching me, I will hold out my hand for a sniff. If they are receptive I will try to give them a scratch but if not, I will leave them be. If they are not approaching me at all, I let them be! I want to make sure the cat always feels that they are in control. If the owner allows it, I will sometimes offer them a treat to let them know I am their friend.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
