What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for 2 years now. I’ve met sweet cats, sassy cats, young cats, and older cats in many different homes! Every cat receives love and respect from me!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Meeting new people and cats, it’s always an adventure. I love the flexibility and having cats as my boss.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always lock the door behind me as well as their food and water, bring in any mail or packages that have arrived and double check the lock on my way out. I also normally take notes in case I am booked again.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, not usually New Years
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I treat timid and anxious cats with space, and even limited eye contact if need be. I try to interpret their mood and wants so that I’m respecting them and their environment, and both of us will be content. It’s not about my wants, it’s about their comfort and safety.

After I sent a reminder note, she came to the house around 11:30 p.m. To her credit, she took responsibility and had Meowtel refund our payment the next day. Jocylyn was great to work with. She visited Boots and Strawberry Moon before my trip to get orientated with their food, litter box, water, supplies. She provided daily updates after each visit along with pics. I felt relieved knowing everyone was doing ok while I was away. Jocylyn was absolutely amazing. She had a variety of personalities to handle in my cats but she cared for everyone like a boss. Gave food, meds, treats, and catnip as needed. She make sure to track down any hiding cats so I could know they were OK, and send me the funniest pics of them. I was so worried leaving them for that long, by Jocylyn put my mind at ease. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Mesa cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Jocylyn was AMAZING with my cat Pixie while I was out of town. Pixie is a cuddle bug and Jocylyn provided the cutest pictures of them snuggled up together during her visits. Communication was awesome, all instructions were followed without any issue, and most importantly, I felt totally sure that Pixie was getting top-notch care from a great sitter. Jocylyn didn’t skip a day of cat service. She ensured the guys had food, fresh water, and a clean litter box. My cats are special needs cats. They both have FIV and don’t respond well to bacteria and contaminants, so I was grateful when she was responsive and handled a last-minute request in time. I have a no-shoes policy, and it’s not something most people do to minimize bacteria in their homes, so I was grateful when Jocylyn remembered to take off her shoes. She filtered out loose pine litter outside as expected. For the future, the only two things I would remember to ask are to handle all litter box activities outside (even scooping the poop) and ask for more cat petting and talking time with them. Unfortunately, my boys love humans and connection more than each other, so connection with humans is a strong need for them. Overall, I’m grateful Jocylyn was available, and I could take a vacation knowing someone could care for my fur babies' basic needs.

I’m on business trips for 1.5 months and I found this website last minute. Read reviews and decided to have Jocylyn to took care of Starlight. Jocylyn was great beyond my expectations in every way. She is detailed oriented person when I briefed about my cat. Sent updated every visits including photos. Even played videos that I recorded for my cat. Took out my cat for walks.
