I've cat sit for several folks in the last few years and volunteer as a kitty caregiver at a rescue called Fearless Kitty in Fountain Hills. After ensuring the kitties are cared for, I get to socialize and play with them! It's a great way to start my Saturday! Working at Fearless Kitty gives me the opportunity to learn about cat behavior and how to watch for signs of distress.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Beyond caring for my own, I've cat sit for three friends from a few days to over a week. I also volunteer as a kitty caregiver at a local rescue

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Playing! I like to get on the floor with some toys and just make it fun. Purrs and snuggles are the reward.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I've watched a Tabby named Toby twice. He's a bit of a senior but still enjoys the feather wand. Whenever I visit, he runs to me and rubs against me.

Kathy was absolutely amazing! Took care of 3 needy kitties, one of them requiring mess twice a day. Additionally, Kathy was attentive to my pets' needs and movements and kept me informed during every visit. She instantly learned about their personalities and I was just blown away by her care and obvious experience with cats. This was my first experience with Meowtel and I would highly recommend this service and especially Kathy.

I had a wonderful experience with Kathy and would absolutely recommend her. She had great communication the entire time and sent me lots of pictures, which really helped me feel at ease while I was away. I was especially amazed at how comfortable one of my formerly feral foster cats was with her. He has never warmed up to anyone so quickly before! She truly seems to have a magic touch with cats. When I returned home, all of my cats were happy and well cared for, and the litter boxes were meticulously clean. I felt completely comfortable leaving my cats in her care and will definitely have her watch them again in the future!

Kathy was so good with our boys. They are brothers and just over a year old. They are both a bit shy, but we saw her play with them in the many pictures she sent every day. When we met her at the meet and greet she asked great questions and took lots of notes. She also went above and beyond and took our trash can and recycling can to the curb and brought them in also. We are now sure that when we decide to go on vacation, we have someone who will give our boys the love they deserve while we are gone!

I can’t say enough great things about Kathy. I hired her super last minute to drop in and feed my cats, clean their litter boxes, and check on them while I was away. Not only did she take amazing care of them, but she also went above and beyond, cleaning up after their messes and making sure everything was in order and gave them treats. She was friendly, engaging, and sent me daily pictures and updates, which gave me total peace of mind when I was away from my babies. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Truly amazing service and care, especially during Christmas week and on such short notice!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
