What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love that I get to serve my kitty community! It’s a special way I can give back to my local community in an integral way. Plus, building transparent and trusting relationships with my clients is just as important to me as building close relationships with kitties 🐱
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two kitties! One DSH male tabby rescue named Mama’s Baby, and one DLH male tabby named Schwartz! I’ve had them since they were 4 months old, as of 2026, they will be 10 years old!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Think of me as your cat’s cool aunt who takes care of your cat/s and home while you’re away (a treat for everyone!) Please be as detailed as possible when filling out your kitties profile and/or at the meet and greet.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety and Security are #1 in my book!! I always make sure that your cat/s are monitored for any changes in eating, drinking, and using their litter box. Removed collars are immediately put back on. I always lock doors leading outside behind me and double triple check for any unlocked doors before exiting your home.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Absolutely! As a working, single cat mom of two, I understand that the holidays are a busy time for client travel! The most kitties I’ve had during the holidays was 8 cats over Christmas. It’s always such a treat for me!
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy, is mine or your cat/s favorite cat toy 🥰Not all cats prefer the same toys - for instance, one of my cats prefers paper wrapped plastic straws!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let them come to me! I always acknowledge my kitty clients upon arrival, and will always try my best to get eyes on your kitty if they love to hide! I tend to talk to my kitty clients to let them know i’m an ally, it’s okay, and that their humans miss them beyond measure - all while I complete the general chores. I leave the end of the visit open to see if kitty/s are ready to approach me or I will just sit and hang with them a while. If your kitty becomes uncomfortable or stressed out, I maintain my distance, while continuing to talk with them on top of 100s of slow blinks 🖤🐱

Erica took excellent care of our cat this past week. I’d never before had someone in our house taking care of a pet and at first was pretty nervous. But Erica shared plenty of detailed updates and photos putting me at ease. I came home to a happy cat, a very clean litter box zone, and just gratefulness for the care she gave. Erica is AMAZING!! I have a very scardy-cat shy stray rescue kitty, he ACTUALLY came out from hiding!! And played with Erica! She sent me amazing updates with pics & videos, I truly felt she cared for my little guy! He literally NEVER comes out from hiding for anyone, except Erica! Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Phoenix cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Erica was amazing! My shy boy greeted her at the door her first visit! She took the time during our meet and greet to engage him so, he didn’t hide when she came. Erica was fine getting along with my cats but she was completely negligent in their care! After going over detailed written instructions at the meet and greet one week prior, and leaving them to refer to, this is what she did… day one, assumed leftover sitting wet food meant they were fed, she admitted to fluffing it up and not giving them a fresh can. She also assumed that their water was replaced. It was not ,and she thought it was perfectly okay to leave it. I gave her my phone number and instructed her to text me with any questions, she didn’t. She offered to come and feed my cats whenever they were used to eating which was 8-8:30 am then again 5-6pm. She agreed to this.After her second day morning visit ,she informed me through text that she had an event at 5 and couldn’t be there that evening until around 7-8. I wasn’t happy about it but I was already gone and what choice did I have. (p.s. at our meet and greet just a week before there was no mention she had these plans.) If I had known I would have chosen a different sitter. That evening, when I didn’t get a notification that she arrived, I texted her to ask when she was going to be there! (it was already after 8)no response… 45 minutes later she texted me “not to be upset” . Too late…My cats had already gone 13 hours without food) She said she was at a party and it just ended. She was another 30 min away. She didn’t show up until 9:15! I called support at Meowtel(who were very supportive), and they arranged for a different sitter to take over. Once Erica was told that I no longer wanted her to care for my cats, she dropped everything, left dirty bowls in my sink and left . She didn’t stay more than 15 minutes. I was in Mexico celebrating my 35th wedding anniversary and I had to deal with this for 3 hours. It ruined our evening! I will never use her again. Nothing worse than not be able to leave your babies with peace of mind. Instead of apologizing she texted me that she hopes my cats and my home will be ok! WHATT? My home?Is this a threat? Beware of this irresponsible sitter! I chose her based on her previous reviews, which were stellar . This was the first time I was using her and this is what happened to us!
