What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have over five years of cat-sitting experience, during which I’ve cared for a wide variety of feline personalities from cuddly lap cats to independent adventurers and everything in between. I've provided care in both short-term and extended stays, ensuring that each cat's routine, dietary needs, and quirks are respected and maintained. My background as a nurse has given me the confidence to handle health-related tasks, including administering medications and watching for any signs of illness or discomfort. I truly love getting to know each cat’s unique personality and creating a calm, loving environment while their humans are away.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
One of my favorite things about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality, the way they communicate, play, and seek comfort in their own special way. I love those quiet moments of trust, the quirky habits that make each cat special, and the joy of earning a slow blink or gentle nuzzle. It’s incredibly fulfilling to offer companionship and care while their humans are away, knowing I’m helping them feel safe and loved in their own space.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When caring for a shy or anxious cat, I take a gentle, patient approach, always letting them set the pace. I understand that trust takes time, so I create a calm, quiet environment and use soft voices, slow movements, and plenty of space to help them feel safe. I never force interaction, but I’m always nearby with a kind presence and a comfy lap if they decide they're ready. Building that bond, no matter how slow, is one of the most rewarding parts of cat sitting for me.

I hate to leave a bad review but I have to be honest to hopefully help avoid this happening to another pet parent in the future. Ashley forgot to send an update/confirm that she fed my cat on one occasion, sending me into a panic while away in another state thinking he had not eaten. On top of that, she was over 2 hours late to feed him the next morning, and ended up feeding him at 12pm for breakfast when I had booked the 6am-10am time slot. My cat is like my baby and to be states away and unable to confirm that he had eaten caused me a lot of stress and anxiety. I would not recommend this sitter

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Phoenix cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
