What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I began cat-sitting in March 2024, so I have officially marked 1 year of cat sitting for others! My experience with my own cats has equipped me with the necessary knowledge to care for yours, in addition to the many cats I’ve cat sit for in the past year. I have experienced a plethora of personalities and care instructions that has broadened by horizons working with both parents and feline friends!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy helping fellow cat parents! As a cat parent myself, I understand the stress of leaving your fur babies at home while you're gone. Not only this, but I enjoy meeting new kitties and learning new things about cat parenting and cat behaviors. I have learned so much while sitting with my clients' cats, so it's a great pleasure getting to meet more clients and help where possible!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Customer service is extremely important. No matter the service, customer satisfaction should always be the top priority. I take pride in my ability to work with new cat parents and build a trusting relationship with each of them. Here are the steps I usually take when working with new clients: 1. Understanding Your Needs I usually begin with a conversation discussing your cats needs, your personal needs, and any special care instructions. 2. Meet & Greet I always propose a meet & greet. A meet & greet is NOT required to book with me, however, it is recommended. During this meet & greet, it is our chance to meet one another, for me to meet the cat(s), and get familiar with the home and any instructions that may not have been clear over text. 3. Confirmation Lastly, I will confirm your interest in my services and work out any last details.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Most cats that I have worked with have been quite timid. However, I will never shy away from working with a timid/anxious cat. I take a hands-off approach with all the cats I sit for. I allow the cat to sniff and warm up to me. If the cat has a hiding spot, I usually avoid going in their safe spot to allow them to feel safe if they get overwhelmed and need to retreat back to their space. This method has worked for all the cats I have sat for. In addition, my most recent client had a shy cat that would take a while to warm up to others. However, the client was shocked to hear that their cat warmed up to me on the first day! I have no issues working with cats that are a bit more shy.

I don't know if I'll ever get the privilege of having Miracle back because she is so wonderful that I imagine she will be booked out by the next time I need to make a reservation. She came and cared for our kitty for almost a month while we were on vacation, was attentive, very communicative, flexible, reliable, and over-all amazing! Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
