What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting on and off for 10 years. When I was 17 I spent a summer house sitting and taking care of an adorable black cat named Lucky. I have cat sitted for friends & neighbors. Right now I am cat sitting for my next door neighbor, a sweet elderly tabby cat named Tabs!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy the cuddles and hearing them purr the most. I also love getting to know their quirks and personalities. Whether energetic or shy, they are all lovely.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting job was definitely my first one because it made me fall in love with the idea of cat sitting. My mom is allergic to cats, so cat sitting in a way was living out my childhood dreams!

I recently had a positive experience with Chloe (who also goes by Cho), when she cared for my two cats (Dante & Diego) while I was visiting Australia for two weeks this June. Her enthusiasm was clear from the very beginning. She was careful to take thorough notes and ask relevant questions as needed, which gave me confidence that she would be able to follow instructions. Although I didn’t receive updates or photos every day, this was a positive thing for me, as I didn’t want to be thinking about my cats too much while I was on my trip, and there was also a 17-hour time difference. If a future client did want daily updates, I am sure Cho would be happy to do so. Her quick response time to my messages made it easy to stay in touch, she brought in a package that had been delivered to my home, and she even gave my cats their monthly flea/tick pill. When I returned home, everything was just as I left it, and both cats seemed happy and healthy, which is a testament to Cho's dedication and love for animals. I would confidently recommend Chloe for anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Cho, for giving me peace of mind while I was away and for taking such good care of my little guys!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Aptos cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
