I've been living and interacting with cats for decades and have come to deeply understand their language and needs. I learned so much about cat care from Mochi, my lovely lady, who is friendly but wary, overly enthusiastic, yet skittish, a lover of attention but only if she can have it "her way"... Please note that I only accept reservations with at least one visit per day of absence. This is based on my years of experience as a cat sitter and what I’ve found is best for your pets❤️

I learned so much about cat care from Mochi, my lovely lady, who is friendly but wary, overly enthusiastic, yet skittish, a lover of attention but only if she can have it "her way". From her, I learned the ins and outs of anxiety-inducing vet visits, administering medication, introducing cats, respecting boundaries, and learning how to communicate with love and patience. Mochi has kept me company through so many important transitions in my life, and I deeply understand the role these beautiful beings fill in our lives.
As a pet parent, I've always felt such stress and anxiety leading up to any trip, wondering if my cats would be loved and taken care of in my absence. I have deep empathy for the experience of leaving our loved ones in another's care, and I would be honored to become that special, trusted someone that allows you to be present in the moment and know your cat is receiving the utmost of love and attention.
Their safety, health and engagement are my top priority. When you choose me, you can rest assured that your cats are within capable loving hands, and you can always depend on me to be reliable, responsive, punctual, and sensitive to their needs while you're away.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
A friend's mother had a medical emergency and had to be admitted for over a week in the hospital. They called me to check on their cat while she was admitted and I felt so happy to be able to take care of their kitty while she was away. This sweet tuxedo baby and I turned the living room into a fun obstacle course and had a blast together :)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I’d choose someone who is reliable, consistent, and caring, so you can be fully present wherever you are without concerns.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Getting to know the cat. I love to hear all the details! What kind of toys do they like? What's their schedule? Any personality traits to be aware of, or types of interaction that they like or don't like? I adjust my approach to each cat as an individual. I also want to understand the cat parent's expectations for cat sitting so I can be sure to meet them, and any special requests they may have while they're away.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
1. Secure handling of keys and passcode for entry/exit. 2. Entering slowly and with awareness to prevent any escape attempts. 3. Ensuring that anything hazardous is removed from the area. 4. Following all instructions left by the cat parent to the T!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
1. Move slowly 2. Speak in a calm voice 3. Don’t reach for the cat 4. Leave shoes near the cats hiding place so they can investigate my smell. 5. Engage kitty with a “motivator” like treats or play when ready. The trick is not to rush or apply pressure but behave consistently and calmly until the kitty feels safe ❤️

I could tell my cat warmed up to her really quickly. she was on time with every appointment, gave me detailed updates on food and litter habits, sent tons of pics and videos of eating playing and cuddling. she even stayed late one day when my cat was loving her too much. she helped take out the trash on her last day before I got home and I just felt a lot of trust in her. will definitely be rebooking.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Soquel cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!

Lindsay did a great job with my shy, normally anxious (around strangers) kitty. She was thoughtful in how she approached him and by the end of her visits it seemed that he was really comfortable with her. Lindsay followed my instructions (my apt building is difficult to park at, navigate, get into) and provided quality service and was great with providing feedback/pics/videos.
