Over the years I’ve cared for many cats with very different temperaments—from independent outdoor explorers to gentle indoor companions who love quiet company. Each one has helped me better understand how to make cats feel comfortable, s... I’m a lifelong cat lover and experienced cat owner. My journey with cats started when I was four years old with my first cat, Sabrina, who taught me so much about feline personalities and how unique each cat can be.
Over the years I’ve cared for many cats with very different temperaments—from independent outdoor explorers to gentle indoor companions who love quiet company. Each one has helped me better understand how to make cats feel comfortable, safe, and cared for.
I currently share my home with my four-year-old cat, Cabo, who loves window watching and treats. Caring for cats has always been a huge part of my life, and I treat every cat I look after with the same patience, attention, and love I give my own.
I know how important it is for pet parents to feel confident while they’re away, and my goal is always to make sure your cat feels relaxed, happy, and well cared for in their own home.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have watched cats on and off my whole teenage and daily life whether it’s my own or my family’s cats, which equates to 20+ years.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love spending time with cats and appreciate their calm, playful nature. Getting to know each cat’s unique personality is one of my favorite parts of caring for them.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My cat’s name is Cabo and she is four years old. She’s a wonderful addition to our family and I couldn’t imagine our family without her.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I think someone looking for a cat sitter should follow their instincts and also when meeting feel comfortable to ask as many questions as you like.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I believe finding the right sitter is about trust. Cat parents should always follow their instincts and feel comfortable asking any questions so they know their cat is in the right hands.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I would follow all directions and instructions, make sure all doors are closed, and be mindful of any items on the floor that they shouldn’t eat. And anything else that could endanger them.
Are you usually available during holidays?
It would depend on the holiday, but typically I’m in town during the holidays. I will keep my calendar updated.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is the retractable ones. It gives the cat an opportunity to exercise and to use their animal instincts in hunting and playing and jumping.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I typically would be slow in introduction and not overwhelmed the cat with too much energy, but just be still and allow them to particularly make the first move in so many words. I would pay attention to their body language, their tails their ears, and if they seemed relaxed after some time, I would let them smell me and go from there.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Brentwood cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $38.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
