What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for about 7 years. I have had experience providing oral medication in syringes, pill pockets, and pill form. I have cared for young, middle aged, and older cats.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I request for a meet and greet with new cat parents so I can meet them and their cat(s). I ask for parents to let me know if their cat(s) have a specific diet and/or feeding regimen, if they like touch, and if they are affectionate or more reserved. In case of an emergency, I also request for parents to let me know veterinary information and requests if an evacuation is mandated. I will ensure their cat(s) are well tended to and will provide the required care.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I first request a meet and greet with the pet parent. When I meet the shy cat(s), I extend my hand out to them to allow them to sniff me and follow their lead. If they rub against me, I may try to pet them. If they walk away, I don’t attempt to touch them. I provide all the requested services and may sit near them so they know they are not alone.

Here is a clear, polished version with the same warm tone: > Haley did a wonderful job caring for my two kitties. She provided fresh food and water daily, cleaned their litter boxes, and gave my outgoing fur baby plenty of pets and scratches. She was also patient and attentive with my shy kitty, making sure she didn’t hide away in the closet. Haley even swept the kitchen floor after spilled litter and regularly checked my mailbox. I loved receiving the daily photos of my babies. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and highly recommend Haley.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
