I've been so lucky to work with dogs, cats, rabbits, tortoises, chickens, pigs, horses, and many others but cats are my favorite animal for sure!
I am experienced with a variety of health conditions and temperaments. Such as diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, asthma, seizure disorders, mobility issues, and more. I can do insulin shots, sub-q fluids, topical, oral, and injectable medications... Meowdy, my name is Jennifer! I have been pet-sitting for 13 years. I've been working at a cat rescue and sanctuary for the past 11 years.
I've been so lucky to work with dogs, cats, rabbits, tortoises, chickens, pigs, horses, and many others but cats are my favorite animal for sure!

Between my work at the rescue and as a cat sitter, I am an excellent choice if you have a multi-cat household. I can manage diets, medications, cleanliness, and care with ease and make sure to snuggle them all!
It's important to me that your cats are comfortable in their home while you're gone and receive the best care. A visit includes feeding, fresh water, litter scooping, washing dishes, tidying up, and collecting mail, etc.
The rest of the visit is to spend time with your cat! Whether they are young and want to play or simply want some company while they nap.
I love to send daily updates, photos, and videos! It makes me happy when a client comes home and their cat is completely content. Though, of course, they're thrilled that you're home!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy working with shy and fearful cats. It's very rewarding for me to build trust with an animal and watch them grow! I like working with cats that need medication. I especially love elderly cats and their personalities. I know how important it is that an animal is healthy and provided for while their person is away.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to meet with a client and their animals before the first visit. They will often do a walk-through and go through their litter box set up, feeding schedule, and any medical or special requirements. It's nice to get to know everyone in advance so they can look forward to their trip!
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am typically but I recommend making arrangements as much in advance as possible. Whether with me, another sitter, or a boarding facility. Though for cats I truly recommend someone watching them in your home to keep their environment and routine consistent.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Yeowww catnip toys, mainly the bananas! Kong Pull-A-Partz bugs toy. Cats really enjoy the catnip and interactive play. My senior hospice kitty at the time had 4 of these Kong leafy bug toys and received a 5th one for his 18th birthday. It's really sweet to see how seniors play and what they're interested in!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will give timid and anxious cats plenty of space while also providing reassurance. I find that after a visit or two, just being in their presence helps them become more comfortable. The most important thing to me is that they are safe, eating, and using the litter box appropriately. I am happy to provide company on their terms!

I can’t praise Jennifer enough. She was wonderful with our cats! Sometimes when we get back from traveling, our cats seem a little disoriented. But this time, they reacted as if we hadn’t even left! Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Simi Valley cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
