I am a proud cat mom to Tati, my sweet gray tabby, and as I love to remind her, my best friend. When I care for your cat, I treat them the way I would want someone to treat my own. That means respecting their space and personality, paying attention to their individual needs, and never assuming that every cat wants the same kind of interaction. Some cats want cuddles and attention; others need time to warm upāand Iām happy to meet them wherever they are.
I also understand how important communication is when youāre away from your cat. Iāll follow your instructions carefully, keep you updated about your cat, and send photos so you can feel connected and reassured while youāre gone.
For me, cat sitting isnāt simply stopping by to put out food and clean a litter box. Itās about making sure your cat feels safe, comfortable, respected, and cared for in their own home. I know how much trust it takes to leave someone responsible for a beloved member of your family, and I want you to feel that your cat is in thoughtful, loving hands.
During the visit, I will:

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
As a cat parent, I would look for someone who genuinely understands and loves cats. Iād want someone who respects that every cat is different, pays attention to their individual personality and boundaries, and takes the time to understand their specific needs and routine. I would also look for someone who is compassionate, attentive, responsible, and communicative. Trust is so important when youāre leaving someone with your cat, and Iād want to know that they will follow my instructions, pay attention to my cat, and keep me updated while Iām away. Most importantly, I would choose someone who understands that caring for a cat is about more than food and litter. Cats are family, and they deserve to feel safe, respected, and cared for in their own home.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
As a cat parent, I understand that every cat is different, and some need more time and patience to feel comfortable with new people. My approach with a timid or anxious cat is based on respect, boundaries, and allowing the cat to set the pace. I would never force an interaction or make a cat feel unsafe. Instead, I give them the time and space they need to observe me and become comfortable with my presence. I believe trust with a cat is earned, not expected. By being calm, patient, and predictable, I can show them that I am not a threat and that I will respect their boundaries. I pay close attention to their body language and let them communicate how they want to interact. My goal is never to make a timid cat more socialāitās to help them feel safe, respected, and comfortable while their person is away.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
