I have four years’ experience as a cat sitter and love being with them - quirks and all! It’s hard to remember life before cats. As I get to know your family I will take notes on how to feed them, whether they have any special needs like medication or food additions. Anything I should know to give them excellent care.
I have had a cat that took topical medications, and my approach to giving topicals to cats is to start by sitting quietly together and getting the cat to relax. If they like petting I do that and then apply the ointment gently, following up with more petting or even a treat, if allowed. I do my best to make the experience a pleasant one... If your cat goes outside on a leash I am happy to take them out, as long as you give me your / their preferred routes and any special needs or requirements. Some felines love to be out and about!
You get to tell me all about your cats and how they like to be treated. Are they playful, shy or vocal ? I will make sure their litter box and surrounding areas are clean and tidy, looking for any accidents or litter tracks in your space. They will be well fed and loved.
My background includes teaching English and creative writing and several types of professional coaching. Helping people and animals to live their best lives is at the core of my career. As I get to know your cat, I observe and pay attention to their behavior and your instructions. I'll care for your cat's needs and provide a safe and happy visit with play and treats, if allowed and they are into playing. I love a good playtime!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been a cat sitter for four years: two years in New York and two in California (Santa Clara). I've enjoyed getting to spend time with "new" cats and showing them some love while their parents were away. I approach them with calm and build the relationship at their pace. I am looking forward to getting to know more Davis cats!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I most enjoy building a relationship with a cat family. Getting to know and appreciate the cat so I can provide great care and appropriate play. I love meeting new cat people and hearing their stories!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
We are a cat family of two humans and one cat: Buzz Light year. He is a rescued cat with a big heart and lots of energy for playing. We got him to keep our other cat Neo company but after 12 years together, Neo has passed and we are grateful to have Buzz in our lives. He enjoys chasing insects, getting his head and neck rubbed and hanging out on or near our laps.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
When you meet your sitter initially, notice how they make you feel. Are they attentive, good listeners? Do they ask the questions you would expect? How do your pets act with them? Animals are very sensitive and they pick up on vibes instinctually.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
