I had two cats, Jordan and Joy. Jordan tragically passed away two years ago, and now Joy is my princess at home. I also care for a local cat colony and rescued a stray I named Ayra, who now lives safely in my garage.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

When I cat-sit, I ensure the cat’s safety and security by keeping the environment calm and hazard-free. I monitor their behavior closely, make sure windows and doors are securely closed, and provide fresh food and water on time. I follow their routine, handle them gently, and give them space when needed to reduce stress. I also keep the owner’s instructions and emergency contacts handy, so I can act quickly if anything happens. Creating a safe, comfortable space helps the cat feel secure while I care for them.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When I cat-sit a timid or anxious cat, I give them space and time to feel safe, never forcing interaction. I speak softly, move slowly, and let the cat approach me on their own terms. I create quiet, comfortable areas where they can hide if needed and observe their body language carefully. If I notice signs of stress, like hissing or hiding, I step back, avoid sudden movements, and maintain a calm presence. My goal is to build trust gradually so the cat feels secure despite my being a new person in their environment.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
