What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I started pet sitting on another pet sitting and sometimes clients would also ask me to care for their cats. So that’s where my cat sitting experience started. I also cat sit for some friends from time to time. I have 5 years experience with cat sitting for friends and 2 years experience with cat-sitting on sitting apps.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to connect with each cat’s unique personality and earning their trust over time. I love those quiet, meaningful moments—when a shy cat starts to feel safe enough to come closer, or when a playful kitty invites me into their world. With my background in massage therapy and doula care, I naturally bring a calm, grounded energy into the space, and it’s really special to see how cats respond to that. I enjoy creating a peaceful environment where they feel safe, seen, and cared for while their person is away. It’s not just about checking off tasks—it’s about building trust, offering companionship, and making sure each cat feels comfortable and at ease in their own home.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always make sure to stick to the cat parent’a instructions. Copies of the home key is always with me on a separate key ring. I always enter the home carefully to make sure there isn’t any runaway kitties. I always make sure the door is locked when I leave the home.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I am usually available on holidays for drop-ins and overnights but it’s best to drop me a message to confirm.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy is the wand and the laser pointer. I think these toys are best to help your kitty get in some exercise.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I take my time to get to know timid or anxious cats. I understand that cats can be territorial. My goal is to always make sure that the cat learns that I am there to be their friend and not harm them.

My husband and I are so happy that we found Rosemary on the Meowtel app. She was amazing with our 7 cats and all of them loved her( even my old grumpy one Luna). She was very communicative, followed instructions we gave her and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable that our furry kids were in good hands while out on vacation. Rosemary was great right from the start. she had that cat charmer magic that made both my cats come for pets the minute she walked in the door. She was attentive to detail. i was especially impressed that she remembered that I had written on the app for a previous sitter that Max likes to be petted on his body and Tommy likes to be petted on his head. She had them both begging for more pets in no time. she sent me lots of photos updating me and showing me that she did all the things I asked her to. she is by far my FAVORITE sitter on meowtel. Rosemary really treats this like a job and takes her job seriously. I really appreciate that and so did Max and Tommy!

rosemary is the best cat nanny I’ve ever had. she’s loves all 7 of my crazy fur babies and is able to make sure to take care of all of them when I’m out for travel. definitely recommend her if you’re looking for someone that spends time with your fur kids and will be able to keep up with all the fur baby tasks needed while you’re gone. thank you again Rosemary! my cats always look forward to seeing you.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
