During a visit, I can refresh food and water, scoop and tidy the litter area, provide play or quiet companionship based on your cat’s personality, follow special-diet or medication instructions, and send a clear update with photos. I’m also comfortable cleaning up the occasional accident without making a fuss.
For timid or anxious cats, I move slowly, speak softly, and let them set the pace. I never force interaction. My goal is to keep your cat’s routine familiar and your home secure while you’re away.
I serve ZIP 95018 for weekday early-morning and after-6 PM visits. I’m available throughout the day on weekends, with Bonny Doon and Santa Cruz considered on weekends by arrangement. Drop-ins and selected overnight stays are available with advance notice. I’d be happy to meet you and your cat before the first reservation.

I occasionally cat sit for friends, family, and neighbors during vacations or work trips. My broader experience comes from more than 25 years of living with and caring for cats. I’m now building that experience into a dependable local service.

I have one 9 year old girl named Cake. Named after a character on the show Adventure Time.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I respect their space and let them choose the pace. I walk and speak softly, avoid direct pressure, and use treats or play only when the cat seems comfortable. Quiet presence is often the best first step.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
