I'm a working professional in Education and I also volunteer at a horse ranch/farm in San Jose. I'm a foster cat mom as well. I would be happy to help you! Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Of course I do! I have Apollo and Io (pronounced eye-o). They are older (8 and 13). They don't mind sharing me with other kitties.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I love details! Give me a list, note book or a novel. The more detail the better! I am happy to do a walk through as well in person, as needed.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I stay locally during major holidays. Especially thanksgiving. If I do travel, I plan far in advance! I don't do things last minute.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I meet them at their pace. Sit without approaching. Take it slow. Talk to them in a clam voice. Really, I let them lead.

I have never trusted anyone with my cat for more than a few days. My cat Mina is older, and has her special issues. Elizabeth has taken such good care of her during my last few trips, I was completely comfortable leaving Mina in Elizabeth’s care for a longer time, and during a backpacking trip when I didn’t have service and couldn’t check in. Elizabeth did a wonderful job caring for our cats while we were traveling internationally! She arrived on time in the morning and at night, played with both of them every day, and sent us photo updates! They were both very calm and happy when we got home. This can be a bit challenging since one of our cats is temperamental and doesn't do well with strangers. Highly recommend! :)

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
